Community Service: God's Love We Deliver

Want to lend a helping hand during challenging times?

Join the NYC Men in Nursing Chapter as we volunteer our time by preparing meals with God’s Love We Deliver.

The mission of God’s Love We Deliver is to improve the health and well-being of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. GLWD prepares and delivers nutritious, high-quality meals to people who, because of their illness, are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves.

Please note the new volunteer protocol  

New Volunteer Protocol – Community members will not be permitted to volunteer if they do not feel well or if they are exhibiting any symptoms such as cough, runny nose, sneezing or fever. The Volunteer Department will be screening volunteers upon entry to the building to ensure that they are well and symptom-free. They will also have volunteers use hand sanitizer as they enter the building.

Flight Nurse: Taking Nursing to New Heights

This presentation is hosted by NYC Men in Nursing’s Education Committee and presented by

Everett G Moss II, BSN, RN, CCRN, CEN, TCRN, CFRN, CPEN, CTRN, NRP

A native to Atlanta Georgia.  Everett Moss II began his career with the City of Atlanta Fire Rescue Department and has worked for various transport agencies including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta critical care ground transport team.  After developing a passion for the medical field, he chose to leave fire service and pursue the field of nursing.  During that time, he began flying full-time as a life flight paramedic. He has worked in various clinical roles in emergency medicine, critical care, flight, vascular access, and trauma program administration.  Everett is committed to professional development and advancement in medical knowledge.  Everett is currently pursuing his DNP with a specialization in Nurse Anesthesia at Emory University.
