Topic: Ventilators: A Lethal Weapon?
Ventilator is a lifesaving technology available to critical care practitioners. However, it alters the normal physiology of our hemodynamic and if misused, the ventilator has the potential of becoming a lethal weapon. This lecture is a case based talk illustrating the adverse effect of positive pressure ventilation.

Leon Chen is a NP with the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine. He is a double alumni of NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing having completed his undergraduate and graduate studies there. He has published numerous articles on various critical care topics and is certified in critical care ultrasound by American College of Chest Physicians. He is one of the faculty of MSKCC ICU’s critical care ultrasound program for advanced practice practitioners and an adjunct clinical faculty for NYU.
