Yin Pak (Cypress) Cheng, RN, BSN
Cypress Cheng currently works as a registered nurse at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where he brings a strong foundation in patient advocacy, care coordination, and culturally competent care. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing in 2024 and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the City College of New York. Prior to becoming a registered nurse, he worked in Patient Services Administration at New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where he developed expertise in patient communication, conflict resolution, and supporting high-profile and diverse patient populations, including providing medical interpretation for Chinese-speaking patients. Cypress is actively involved in professional and leadership organizations, serving as a committee member of the Chinese American Nurses Association (CANA), contributing to the General Administration/Services division, and holding membership in Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and The National Society of Leadership and Success. He is a recipient of multiple honors, including the Excellence in Community Leadership Award from Hunter College and the Rising Star Award at New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, and is passionate about enhancing patient experience, fostering meaningful connections, and advancing equity and excellence in nursing practice.
