Timothy Shi, CRNA, APN, MSN

Timothy Shi currently works as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) at the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health in New Brunswick, NJ, where he practices in all specialties of anesthesia, but specializes in cardiac anesthesia  He received his BSN in Nursing from NYU in 2012, and his MSN in Nurse Anesthesia from Columbia University in 2018. Prior to becoming a CRNA, he practiced as a bedside nurse in New York City at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center specializing in Leukemia and Lymphoma patients, and later on in the intensive care unit. He has served as a United Nations Youth Representative for the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society, Founder and President of the New York City Men in Nursing Chapter, and was on the board of directors at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. He really enjoys taking care of patients in the operating room, watching over them and keeping them comfortable and safe. When he helped found the NYC Chapter, he was trying to find comradery among male nurses in NYC, and formed this group with a few friends with the idea of bringing social events, professional events, and mentoring events to both veteran and new nurses.
